The Garden at Cardinal, an Outdoor Venue, Opens Memorial Day Weekend in Atlantic City’s Orange Loop District

Atlantic City, NJ — The Garden at Cardinal, opening at noon on Friday, May 26, brings a fresh, fun, and family-friendly outdoor dining and drinking experience to Atlantic City. Located on the lawn adjacent to Cardinal restaurant in Atlantic City’s Orange Loop District, The Garden will celebrate its opening with a weekend-long garden party featuring art, music, and live entertainment. Owner and executive chef Michael Brennan has designed a menu that will appeal to families, beachgoers, and guests seeking an al fresco alternative to traditional pub fare.

“We’ve built a beautiful, spacious garden with a delicious all-day menu that gives our guests the quality they’ve come to expect from Cardinal, just in a more casual, laid-back way,” shared Brennan. "We’re excited to welcome guests to make memories in the outdoor Garden at Cardinal starting Memorial Day Weekend.”

In keeping with Cardinal’s commitment to the arts and community, The Garden at Cardinal has partnered with the Atlantic City Arts Foundation to kick off summer with the “48 Blocks AC Garden Party.” Local artist and server at Cardinal, Christian Correa, will be live-painting the concept’s first mural between noon–3 pm daily. Guests can also enjoy live music throughout the day and into the evening, caricature drawings by Maria Biebel, face painting by Heather Deegan-Hires, and the joyful bubble-stylings of Tina Notaro.

“We were thrilled the team chose Christian to create the Cardinal Box mural, located on the standalone shipping container at The Garden’s entrance. He created the first mural at Bourré, ‘New Second Line,’ which was retired to make way for Cardinal’s upcoming full-building mural. The Atlantic City landscape is ever-changing, and we strive to partner with businesses like Cardinal who are invested in rebuilding and renewing the city,” shared Kate O’Malley, interim executive director of ACAF.

Experience The Garden at Cardinal throughout Memorial Day weekend, open Friday, May 26–Monday, May 29 from noon–10 pm. Following the holiday weekend, The Garden will be open Thursday–Sunday from noon–10 pm.
